Dearest Thespians,

Hello! It is good to talk to you. I always say that Thespians understand things a bit better than everyone else. Maybe it is because we are so in touch with our emotions, but we can all empathize. We know, at some level, that there really is a brotherhood of man. And being part of this brotherhood is a unique and wonderful experience.

My summer, thus far, has been exciting. I’ve been working at the library, lighting designing a community theatre show, and being a fairly busy thespian boy. I get lonely sometimes, but we all do. Loneliness is simply fondness for past community. I will soon start school, and with school comes theatre. And with theatre comes a new community. It is a cycle similar to that of a phoenix, rising from the ashes and all that sentimentality.

What else, what else… Hmmm. College is a big event on my horizon. I plan to go on to a 4 year liberal arts college, major in theatre and get my teaching certification. I have decided not to pursue a BFA. I know that many will say BFA is the way to go, but I am a firm believer in the power of a liberal arts education. With a BA you can do absolutely anything.

I am running out of boring stuff to talk about. Stay with me awhile and I promise you it’ll get interesting. I am really a master of dialogue more than monologue. Add me on facebook (www.facebook.com/johnstarky) and you will see what I mean.

Until then, stay classy.

~John~
